You Don't Need More Pants. You Need the Right One.
I want you to think about your closet for a second. Not the pretty part you show people. The real part. The pants part.
There's the jeans that fit in the morning and cut into you by 3pm. The dress pants that look great sitting down at a desk and look like a hostage situation after lunch. The "comfy" pair with the elastic waist that somehow still isn't comfortable, because it just sits there flat and doesn't actually move with you. And then there's the SOMEDAY pile. You know the one.
Here's what I've learned after ten years of sewing pants for women who've given up on finding a pair that just works: you don't need more pants. You need one pair that's actually built for the body you live in, not the body a size chart assumes you have.
That's the whole idea behind the Lakeside Jogger.
Why your pants are working against you
Your body doesn't stay the same from Monday to Friday, let alone week to week. You bloat. You retain water. Some days your stomach feels different than it did yesterday, and that has nothing to do with what you ate or how "good" you were. It's just what a female body does.
Jeans don't know that. Dress pants definitely don't know that. And a lot of "elastic waist" pants just replace one rigid problem with another. A flat elastic band doesn't flex with you either, it just sits there tight or loose with nothing in between, and it usually looks shapeless while it's at it.
So you end up with a closet full of pants that were comfortable on the day you tried them on, and betrayed you every day after.
A waistband that actually moves with you
The Lakeside waistband is built to stretch with you, not just around you. It's designed to hold its shape on the easy days and give you room on the harder ones, so you're not tugging at your waistband through a shift, a meeting, or a dinner out. You put it on once in the morning and you stop thinking about it. That's the whole point.

Made to your length, not a guess
Every pair is cut after you order it, to your length. Not "petite," not "tall," not "regular and hope for the best." Your length. That means no pooling at your ankles, no hemming, no pants that were clearly designed for someone four inches taller or shorter than you.
I sew every pair myself, after you order, which is why it takes a little time to reach you (about four weeks, start to finish). That's not a downside. It's the reason they fit the way a pant off a rack never will.

One pair, every part of your life
This is the part people don't believe until they've lived in a pair. The Lakeside Jogger is doing double, triple, quadruple duty in real closets right now:
- Work life – dress it up with a blazer or a nice top and it holds its shape all day
- Social life – dinner, errands, the school pickup line, all in the same pair
- Casual life – the pants you actually reach for on a Saturday
- Active life – walk the dog, run the errands, chase the day without adjusting your waistband every ten minutes
- Sports life – enough give to move the way you actually move
Most of us own six different pants for six different versions of our life. I built one pant that shows up for all of them. And when you buy 2 (because they need to get washed at some point) I cover the shipping for you,
If you've never ordered from me before
I know made-to-order is a different way to shop. You're not picking something off a shelf, you're waiting a few weeks for something made specifically for you. I get why that's a bigger ask the first time.
But I built Bear & Roo because I was tired of buying pants that fit my hips and not my waist, or my length and not my shape, and being told that was just how it was. Almost 20,000 orders later, I still sew every single pair myself, and pinch myself daily that I get to do this for a living.
If you're not sure about sizing, my inbox is open before you order, not just after. Let's figure out your fit together.
You don't need six pairs of pants hoping to fit someday. You need one that already does, but I will be honest so many women love these there are women that own 6-12 pairs. YES 12 pairs, different colours, different fabrics, different lengths and options all for different purposes.
